Get Involved!

We are always looking for volunteers to join any of our great committees!  Anyone can join at anytime, all you need to do is contact the committee chair person who is in charge of the committee(s) that you are interested in to find out when the meetings take place and where to go.  Student Union committees are not a huge time commitment (typically 30-60 minutes per week, sometimes less), membership in a campus organization always looks good on your resume, and most importantly they are a ton of fun!

Every spring, applications are available for all of the Student Union leadership positions.  Applicants are interviewed by outgoing Student Union executives and chairpersons and the Student Union faculty advisor.  Selections are made based on answers to some brief essay questions and a very informal interview where the applicant discusses their vision for a particular committee.  Any full-time undergraduate student, who is not going abroad the year they are applying for, may apply for a committee chairperson position regardless of whether or not you have been involved with Student Union in the past.  The positions of President is limited to people who have had at least one year of experience as a Student Union committee chairperson.
